Home Philosophy

A place to develop the attitude, ideology, aesthetics, and values of your home

About

Welcome! Let me introduce myself. My name is Hollie and I’m super glad you’re here.

As of 11/17/2012, I am in the middle of building up my Etsy shop, Home Philosophy.  I want this to be a supplement site for those interested in creating an inviting home for themselves,  family, and friends. I’m looking forward to getting to know my customers and my customers getting to know the person they’re buying from.

I decided to start an Etsy shop because I’m currently unemployed, looking, and have some time to do things I’m in love with. Here’s a quick background. I’m a mental health therapist by trade. I thought it would be a piece of cake to get a job for the rest of my life once I had my Masters degree, but I couldn’t be more wrong. It’s been a struggle maintaining my self esteem after repeated rejection for a year, so I’m hoping this newly found business will help me build up my confidence. Surely I must remind myself that my value as a person is not based upon my profession, nor that I have a job or not, but rather my character and personality. Here’s to character and personality!

I hope that you find something useful on this website that you can bring into your home and life to make them more enjoyable.

  1. You’re spot on that your value isn’t based on your profession, but your character and profession. Your passion shines through your blog 🙂 Best wishes to your Etsy shop!

  2. Hollie, I found your blog 5 minutes ago and I scan few paragraphs in order to check what you are writing. I don’t have time to read blog right now because I have some work to do, so I just want to say that you pick the right name for the blog 😉
